Kick off your flip-flops and slip on your cowboy boots for this summer's biggest concert event – the inaugural Carolina Country Music Festival.
Held June 4-7 at the old Pavilion site in the heart of Myrtle Beach's downtown district, this four-day opens Thursday night with a kick-off party to the main show. Opening night features New Artist of the Year nominee and singer/songwriter Sam Hunt and other warm-up acts.
An estimated 25,000 fans are expected to attend the Carolina Country Music Festival's three-day showcase. National touring acts will play the Jack Daniel’s Stage on the east end of the Pavilion site, while local and regional bands will take the WPDE Stage on the opposite side.
Friday night's headliner is Rascal Flatts, proceeded by Cole Swindell, Rodney Atkins, the Georgia Satellites, and the Davisson Brothers Band. Saturday's schedule is highlighted by Eric Church, Big & Rich, Colt Ford, and Corey Smith. Lady Antebellum closes Sunday's lineup of Hunter Hayes, David Nail, Kellie Pickler and South Carolina's own Marshall Tucker Band.
Fans are encouraged to bring a beach blanket or chair for seating on the lawn. More parking is being added to the downtown area surrounding the concert site, and free shuttles are available to carry ticket-holders to and from the show. Advanced tickets are for sale at www.carolinacountrymusicfest.com.
